Japanese habit/custom ~45~ Hitsujun筆順（ひつじゅん） the stroke order of Chinese characters, Kanji

 You may have ever seen Japanese Kanji. Do you know you have to
keep the stroke order of Chinese characters, Kanji when you write it?
When we were in school, we learn the stroke orde of each Kanji at the
Japanese class.
  For example...
This Kanji means "run" 「走る」
You have to write this Kanji like below.

  The basic rule is...

 "from left to right" "from up to down"

But maybe there are some variation. I learned this stroke order of Kanji

when I was kid. Now I don't need to care which way I should write.

But if you are Japanese learner, you don't have to be too nervous.

Even Japanese people don't know the right way sometimes.

And I may remember some of Kanji in the wrong way.   

 As I introduced here, Japanese people respect the order.(For example,

people make a line at the restaurant or at the plat form to wait a train)

I am wondering that this culture(the stroke order of Chinese characters, Kanji)

reflects the Japanese people's lifestyle(the order should be respected).

  And one more thing.

  Japanese people learn the stroke order of Alphabet when we start to 

learn English.

  For example

　We learn "Ｍ"　and "w" should be written like above.

But I heard that there is no strict rule like Japanese Kanji.

Is that true!?

  I heard that Japanese children get confused if there is no strict rule

of the stroke order of character. They are accustomed to writing

a letter under the strict rule from the experience of writing Kanji.

So someone decided this stroke order

of Alphabet for a long time ago.

 I think it's interesting story.

Don't do this in Japan ~6~ eating garlic at lunch

  I have not written this topic ''Don't do this series" for a long time.
Because it is hard to find this kind of topic.
I've got a topic a few days ago.

  You should take care of eating a garlic at lunch in Japan.

  Japanese people mind eating a dish that has the flavor of garlic at lunch.
Because it smells strongly.
  If you are working, I recommend you don't eat "gyoza" and some kinds of ramen.
And you should take care when you eat a meat dish.

Japanese lifestyle ~45~ Easter

  Hello, everyone. I heard from my friends that people enjoyed Easter in Europe.

31th in March was Easter in Christian, right?

  I don't know well about what Easter is like... 

  In Japan, there are a lot of cultures that have been imported from European

cultures. But as for this Easter, we haven't heard of this culture.

There are some events related to Christianity such as Christmas, Valentin.

I have seen Halloween's decorations on the streets recently.

(When I was kid, I did not see at all)

  But, I don't hear people celebrate Easter at all. Maybe it is because

this event is connected to religious matter.

  I learned that children play an egg hunting in the garden.  

  What is the main event in your country??? I don't have any images on Easter. 

I can read the Wikipedia but I don't know how this event is close to your daily life.

Short trip in Gunma ~8~ Hirose River in Maebashi

  I took some photos of sakura near the Hirose River in Maebashi.
Now sakura is in the best season in my hometown.

 I joined a small "hanami party" yesterday.
hana means "flower". mi means "see".
Japanese people like hanami party especially during this season.
 Each people brings foods and drinks and eat and drink them under the
cherry blossoms.
 I found a different kind of sakura at the hanami party.

Japanese habit/custom ~34 ~ When you can't wait at the toilet

  Today, there was a concert by famous pianist, Fujiko Heming.
As I introduced you on this blog, you can't see a lot of people
on the street in Maebashi city. But today, I saw so many people
around the concert hall. The pianist is over 80 years old, and she
is almost deaf. But she is still engaged in concert.
  The capacity of the hall was　about ２０００ seats. And it was almost full today.
She played many pieces. The audience was so excited.

  Well, I want to write about Japanese middle age woman.
When you join this kind of event, women have to make a line
at a toilet. Today, I saw a lot of women making a line at toilet.
If you really need to do that quickly, how do you deal with the situation?
Japanese middle aged women sometimes get in the man's toilet.
When I was going to get in the toilet, a woman suddenly got in the
man's toilet. ∑(｀□´/)/ ﾅﾆｨｨｲｲｲ!! Unexpected intruder !!
  Japanese women are strong...∑(￣[]￣；)!ﾎｴｰ!!

  I sometimes see this situation, when you are at toilet of the high way.
Men can't use the women's toilet in Japan. But women use the man's
toilet without permission in an emergency.

Japanese lifestyle ~44~ my Japanese class at cram school

  Now, I am teaching Japanese to elementary school children.
I introduce what kind of things they are learning at the class.
This is some questions they had to answer at the class.

次の言葉を漢字にしなさい。Write down Kanji(Chinese character)
①りよう(use)
②つたえる(convey)
③りょうり(dish)
④さんりんしゃ(a tricycle)
⑤ふしぎ(mysterious)
⑥がくし（a bachelor's degree）

  Like above, Japanese children are studying Kanji through Japanese class.
This task continues until 18 years old...
