Japanese lifestyle ~ 47~ World map

The world map which is used in Japan looks like this.
Japan comes the center of the world map.
Japan is so small country.
When I was kid, I used to think everybody in the world uses this world map.
But the map in your country shows your country at center, right?
I have got used to seeing this kind of map.
I am interested in what the world map used in Australia is like...

Things look somewhat shifted in comparison to what I am used to. Now I have studied common geography in Bulgaria, so I remember the Wolds as it was presented there :)

you are right - looks like each county shifts the map, so that it is at the rough center of the World :)

I can't see well on the map that you provide, but I think all country names are written in Japanese? In our version, each country name was written in the language that was official there - so, Japan was written in Japanese, Russia, was written in Russian, Germany was written in German....

Interesting how people can find differences even in so common things as a map of our common planet :)

But the names of the countries are all written in German. (^_^)
It really is interesting how different everything is... haha

So... Japan must be located in right-hand corner of the map...
