Japanese traditional culture ~45~Hina matsuri

  February 3rd is "Hina matsuri.".
It is the day for girls. Some people have some figures
decorated with Japanese traditional clothes.
People put those figures on a shelf.
Their clothes are so colorful.
People do that girls grow healthily.

I am planning to decorate the Hina Ningyou (we call those fitures
Hina Ningyou) I will attach some photos a few days later.

Yes, there is. The boy's day
is May 5. Do you have such traditions?

Hm, to the best of my knowledge, I don't think there are such traditions in Denmark, nor in BG.

In BG there is an old tradition, where a group of girls goes around the town, dance and sing old traditional songs in each house. But the idea is to wish prosperity and health to the families in each house, so its a bit different.

I think the "Hina matsuri" custom is nice! I hope it is kept alive and will not be forgotten with time.
