It has been getting hotter in Japan.
Water melon is one of the fruits Japanese like to eat in summer.
It's too early to talk about summer.
First of all, I want to know if you often eat water melon in summer.
And second, if so, do you put on salt when you eat water melon?
In Japan, some people put on salt because water melon become
more sweet.

Mnam, watermelon :)
It is really a matter of traditions - in Denmark it is not that popular - only in the past recently years I can see that the local supermarket has started to sell more watermelons (probably because they noticed that I live in the area and buy out all watermelons that they have to offer ;)
Me, coming from a small place in Bulgaria, where we used to have our own watermelon "field" - I just love them. When I was a kid, we used to eat watermelon on a daily basis, so I miss that here in Denmark.
With salt? o_O
Never tried that before, but will try it next time and see how I like it :)
Hope you have a lovely day today - it is perfect weather here in Copenhagen :)

Is the "field" the name of the
watermelon?
The salt is common to use
here in Japan although I usually don't do that.
Nah - a field as in large amount of land used to plant something - in this case we planted watermelons and honeymelons.
.. you know, they can stay fresh for a long time - after we would harvest them, we would keep them down in our wine seller(cold, dark place) and (if they were not eaten by then) we would have watermelons all the way to Christmas.
:) mnam, watermelon!
:)

Do you remind "summer" when you
see a water melon?
Maybe most of Japanese people
associate summer with a watermelon.
Hihi, yes! I do associate watermelons with summer :)
also with a lot of hard work and being tired to the point where you can't stand on your feet any more
:)
all good memories - thank you for this blog - makes me think back.
