Japanese lifestyle ~55~ barbershop

Is this pole(we call this sign pole) common all over the world!?
We can see this red and blue color pole in front of most of barbershops.
Adult 1575 yen
child 1050 yen
shampoo 315 yen
This barbershop is more inexpensive than average.

We don't have that kind of advertizing here in Denmark. I have seen a couple of places where small pizza shops put out a movable sign - usually close to the road, but as a rule - this is very rare here.

Hm, I know prices can't be compared directly, but just for fun, I converted to DKK (danish crona). Very cheap price in Japan :)

Here a hair cut (adult, lady) costs on the average 300 DKK (rougly 5300 yen) - this includes washing the hair and all the "stuff" they put on it when its done. BUT: it does not include drying the hair :) I got surprised by that when I cut my hair last winter (at temperatures of minus 10C): I have long hair and it was all wet when I was presumed ready to be shipped outside :)

Oh,my God!I feel it's very expensive. But I think ladies would need to pay
like DK.
I guess the tax of DK is much higer than Japan.
