Japanese lifestyle ~43~ a memorial service for doll

  Here is one more story about a memorial service.
 When I am driving, I sometimes find a temple that have the
a memorial service for dolls. (人形の供養 にんぎょう の くよう)
  Have you ever heard such a thing in your country?
  Maybe there are some people who care dolls like human being.
I can't imagine what the memorial service is like...

  When I search on Internet, I found

  It costs from 2000 yen to 3000 yen per one box.

I saw about this on TV once.
People bring their dolls and pray for them, thank them for the time or something and then they say goodbye and put them to a kind of shrine. Afterwards I think the dolls will be sold to other people or burned? ^^;
There have been some beautiful dolls! I didn't understand why they "throw" them away. :-/
This tradition is a little bit strange for me, but on the other side it's also quite beautiful how people treat the doll's souls.

(I hope I didn't mistake this with another tradition! ^^;)

Oh,you know that.
But I don't think it is common
to use such service.
So, I don't think it's
Japanese common tradition.
